Kundalini Yoga is considered the yoga of awareness. It balances the nervous system, endocrine system, digestive system, immune system and the chakras. Kundalini yoga was brought the Unites States in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan. Before this time, the kriyas of Kundalini Yoga were not shared with the public. Kundalini yoga uses mantras (chanting), mudras (hand & finger positions), meditation, movement (asanas), breath-work (pranayama), and the vibration of the gong to calm the mind and clear the subconscious. It is a very powerful and transformative practice that calms the mind while uplifting the spirit and bring vitality and radiance to your being. Each class consists of a kriya which is a specific set of postures done to achieve a desired outcome. These kriyas have been passed down from thousands of years ago.
