For one thing, Chinese Medicine has been around for over 3,000 years. Also, it is a holistic system. It treats your body as an integrated system rather than breaking it down into individual symptoms or systems. The goal of Traditional Chinese Medicine is to balance the energy of your body. The acupuncture points are located on these pathways. Chinese Medicine using tongue and pulse diagnosis to determine your diagnosis and treatment plan. Traditional Chinese Medicine will treat both the root (cause) and the branch (symptom) to bring a state of balance and a feeling of wellness, peace and harmony in the body. When the body is in balance you will sleep well, feel well, digest food well and have enough energy to get through your day without stimulants.

Why Choose Chinese Medicine?

Very thin, disposable needles are gently inserted into acupuncture points along energetic channels on the body. These needles activate and balance the qi (energetic life force) of the body. When the qi flows smoothly and freely, the body is in harmony and “dis-ease” does not exist. Acupuncture also stimulates a healing response in the local area and releases “feel good” chemicals such as endorphins, which make you feel peaceful and relaxed. Acupuncture treats the whole body, not just one symptom at a time. It stimulates the body’s immune system so the body can heal itself. The ultimate goal is for your body to be able to balance itself and keep you happy and healthy on its own!
